DIRECTOR OF SALES

Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center, Spokane Valley’s only full-service hotel, is seeking to hire a Director of Sales. The professional in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Actively pursue, qualify, and close new business for the hotel
  • Negotiate guest room rates and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines
  • Develop and lead strategies to generate new business while effectively managing current relationships to ensure the necessary advance bookings
  • Accurately produce and review all sales contracts and rate agreements.
  • Assist with sales and marketing budgets. Support and implement hotel marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office.
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years group sales experience in a full service hotel. Have the ability to make cold calls, set appointments, ask for business, and close the sale. Must have strong knowledge of hotel operations. Must be organized and detail oriented. Excellent written and communication skills required. Excellent customer service skills. Possess a positive and energetic personality. Computer skills required, with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Sales Pro experience a plus.
